Community Groups

First Baptist Church of Elk Grove is committed to biblical spiritual formation and growth; and because Christianity is relational, small groups have been a vital component in the Christian education process throughout the history of our church. It has been said that a small group provides the optimal opportunity for the life change Jesus Christ intends for every believer.

Our FBCEG purpose statement is: to turn people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ which will be realized in large part through three commitments. These commitments make up Vision 2010 which is a challenge to our church to significantly serve the people of greater Elk Grove by:
1) Connecting people to Christ,
2) Growing people in Christ and
3) Serving people in our community.

The means, the method and the motivation for realizing these Vision commitments are found in the dynamics of small groups we call "Community Groups". Biblical community (community groups) is the Body of Christ (the Church) expressing the life and message of Christ to build up one another and redeem the world for God's glory.

FBC is committed to enlisting all the members and friends of FBC into a Community Group where spiritual growth can take place.
