Welcome to Adult Ministries

Are you going through a difficult time? One of our support groups may be just the right place for you to come and heal, grow, be encouraged, and find direction.

DivorceCare
Tuesdays | 7-8:45pm | Rm. CH-6 | August 26-November 18
There are many people who are hurting from the deep pain that divorce or separation has caused. That's the reason for DivorceCare. It's a series of support groups and seminars conducted by people who understand what those who've gone through it are experiencing. Through DivorceCare, people can learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding their lives. For more info, or to sign up, contact the Adult Ministries office at (916) 685-4821 ext 133.

*This is a video-based support group with opportunity for discussion. Typically offered in the fall and spring.

For more info, or to sign up, contact the Adult Ministries office at 916-685-4821 x133.

12-Step Recovery Programs
There are many reasons why people join a 12-step group. Often it is because they desire victory in one of these areas: past hurts, personal life, work, stress, family, parenting, or marriage. By applying biblical disciplines, we begin to grow. We begin to experience healing and victory in our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. This victory becomes evident in our relationships with other people, God and ourselves. We have two groups available:

Men's 12-Step Group
Wednesdays | 6:45-7:45pm | Rm. E-210/211 | Facilitator: Shane Swann

Women's Celebrate Victory
For more information, contact the church office.

Christian Counseling Ministry
In addition to support groups, FBC offers one-to-one counseling with trained counselors (fee involved) or Pastors. Counseling may include individual or involved family members. Our counselors have graduated from a master's level counseling program and have a state license.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact the church office at (916) 685-4821 and tell them you would like to leave a message for our counselor, Mike Beckner. If it's after hours, you may reach the counselor's confidential voicemail box at ext. 347.

For more information on any of the ministries above, call 916-685-4821 ext. 133. Check out our Facilities Map for classroom locations.

Note: Participation in most classes is free unless otherwise noted, but there is often a fee for the workbook. Childcare may be available for some classes, advanced registration required.
