AWANA Ministries

What Is AWANA?
Awana is a nondenominational, international, Bible-centered youth organization, designed to bring the Gospel of Christ to boys and girls and train them to serve Him.  The acronym Awana comes from 2 Timothy 2:15: Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.

Each weekly club meeting includes Game Time, where Clubbers compete around the unique Awana game circle; Handbook Time, during which clubbers work from their handbooks while interacting individually with their leaders; and Council Time, during which a Bible message is presented.

Awana encourages spiritual, social, physical and intellectual growth in children, using Bible-based curriculum and activities through which children learn the Word of God.  The core of Awana is Bible memory.  As the children work through their handbooks, they are motivated to hide God’s Word in their hearts through unique incentives and rewards.  The curriculum also incorporates team-building through games that are fun and exciting.  From the example of godly leaders, children learn how to apply the Word of God in their daily lives.

Club Costs

CLUB COSTS FOR '08-'09 TO BE DETERMINED.

These annual registration fees cover awards and prizes, club parties, regional competitions, special events, administrative costs, leader training, and a contribution toward Honor Camp.  All these things help make Awana exciting for your child.

There are additional charges for the Awana uniform and handbook.  As each child completes his/her entrance booklet, he/she will be eligible to purchase his/her uniform and handbook from the Welcome Counter.

Financial assistance may be available for those who are in need.  Also, as children join later in the year, registration costs will be reduced on a  pro-rated basis.

The Welcome Counter is open each club night for payment of registration fees and purchase of uniforms, handbooks, and other items.  Please refer to the “Store Information” brochure for more information.
