Welcome to Children’s Ministries at First Baptist Church. We hope you find this site to be informational and helpful. Although we specifically minister to infants through 6th Grade, the purpose of our ministry is to assist the family in building a spiritual foundation that will lead a child to grow in the grace and knowledge of God.

Our prayer and desire is that, in God’s timing and with the Holy Spirit’s guidance, each child who attends FBC will: come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ; continue to grow in their relationship with God; and that they will become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Our program, activities and events have been created to:   Allow kids to learn in a fun and exciting, but safe, loving and nurturing environment Provide solid Bible teaching at age-appropriate levels Help children discover and experience who Jesus is and who God wants them to become Reinforce God’s Word in their hearts Build their relationship with God Encourage kids to share their faith, minister to each other and serve the community.

Some of the activities kids participate in while attending each age group program include elements of both dynamic large group worship and small group interaction and study.

Dynamic large group worship - where Bible stories are learned thru creative storytelling, live drama or video; where God is worshipped through prayer and a variety of time-honored and contemporary Christian songs; where Bible truths are learned, scripture is memorized and friendships are encouraged as kids participate in songs, interactive games, arts & crafts.

Small group interaction and study - includes aspects of large group worship with the added benefit of a more intimate setting - where kids may feel more inclined to share with each other and discuss lessons; where they can dig deeper into God’s Word; and where they can build closer relationships with their peers and leaders.

Our Children’s Ministry team invites families to visit or participate in any of our programs to experience and see first-hand our commitment to partnering with every family in laying a spiritual foundation for their children.

Sunday | 8am – Nursery care for infants-3’s; Sunday school for 4’s-Kindergarten
Sunday | 9:30 & 11:15am – Nursery care for infants-3’s; Sunday school for 4’s-4th grade
Sunday | 9:30 - 5th and 6th grade Sunday School
Sunday | 6pm – Children’s Choirs for 4’s-6th grade (February-May, September-December)
Wednesday | 6:15pm – AWANA Club Night 3’s -8th grade (September-May).
Friday | 6:45pm – 56 Blowout/Kinexion (September-May); Energetic game and social outlet for 5th & 6th grade boys and girls.
