Worship & Arts - Special Events

Every year, First Baptist Church of Elk Grove presents various special events that create a connection between the church and the surrounding community. Our aim is to bring people closer to God by presenting them with visually stimulating and emotionally thought-provoking spectacles, professionally produced by our Worship and Arts Ministry Staff and Volunteers. These events include “Traditions: A Christmas Celebration” in December, two Children’s Choir productions, an Easter production, a Comedy Club, and special Guest Concerts by top artists occur all year round.

“Traditions: A Christmas Celebration”
Our annual Christmas presentation, “Traditions: A Christmas Celebration,” is produced yearly in our Sanctuary during the second weekend in December. Specifically meant to provide a non-threatening environment in which FBC members can live out Contagious Christian principles, this musical extravaganza allows members to invite their friends to experience the message of God’s love in a fun and non-threatening environment. The production also serves as a reminder to everyone of the truths from which the traditions of Christmas have developed.

Easter Celebration
Beginning on Palm Sunday and continuing through Silent Communion on Wednesday, Good Friday commemoration on Thursday and Friday, and Resurrection Celebrations on Saturday and Sunday, Easter becomes a time for reflection and celebration of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Involving all of the different groups within the Worship and Arts ministry, we herald His name with dramatical and musical offerings.

Comedy Club
A new annual event here at FBC will be the Comedy Club, in which noted Christian comedians come to entertain us with anecdotes from everyday Christian life. Be sure to be on hand on April 26, 2008, for the event--a must-see for all those who love to laugh and take joy in the Lord.

The Annual Celebration
Every year, FBC stages a celebration of God’s faithfulness with a gathering of servants from all our venues with music, drama and a pertinent message of gratefulness and praise to the Lord. June 7, 2008 will be the date this year’s celebration. Don’t miss the opportunity to praise the Lord.
