Children’s Ministry at First Baptist Church

We are delighted that you have chosen to worship with us and welcome your children to participate in our ministry! We hope this website helps as you navigate our facilities and learn about the many awesome Children’s programs and ministry opportunities we have to offer you and your family.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 127:3 that children are a gift from the Lord. We recognize this precious gifting and therefore take seriously the responsibility given us as we care for and teach the children here at First Baptist Church. This translates into all aspects of our ministry – from our volunteer training and application process, in our curriculum selection and class formatting, to our check-in/out process.  Most of all, we recognize the importance of modeling Christ’s love in all we do as we minister to each child in our care.

Our purpose

KidZone Children’s Ministry provides programming for Infants through 6th Grade. Our purpose is to assist the family in building a spiritual foundation that will lead a child to grow in the grace and knowledge of God.  FBC Children’s staff and volunteer teams are committed to serving our Lord and providing quality activities and programs that:  

• Allow kids to learn in a fun and exciting, but safe, loving and nurturing environment.
• Reinforce God’s Word in the hearts of children and provide solid Bible teaching at age-appropriate levels.
• Help children experience Jesus’ love and to discover who Jesus is, who God wants them to be and how they can strengthen their relationship with Him.
• Encourage kids to share their faith, minister to each other and serve the community.
