Friend of the Heart

Friend of the Heart Mentoring Ministry

"Friend of the Heart" Mentoring Ministry is about caring, sharing and loving another to encourage growth in the Lord. A mentor is a spiritually mature woman of God who is willing to invest in the life of another. A mentee is someone with a teachable spirit who is open to receive love, guidance and encouragement from another woman who is further down the road of experience. "Friend of the Heart" brings together two FBC women for a 5-month commitment. They meet together on a regular basis to share, learn, listen, pray and support each other.

"But we were gentle among you, like a mother caring for her little children. We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us…encouraging, comforting, and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory." I Thessalonians 2 : 7 – 8, 12

This ministry is based on the following Scriptures:

Titus 2, Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 Thessalonians 2:7-8, 12, and 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
