Administrative Volunteers

Reception Desk Volunteer: To ensure that our church family & community needs are met, it is vital that we have consistent front desk and reception coverage to answer phones and perform daily duties. During vacation leave and the office closure in December, you have an opportunity to serve the Lord and this community by helping cover our front desk in the absence of staff. The tasks include:

  • General office work
  • Phones
  • Daily Mail distribution
  • Photo-Copying
  • Weekly Prayer Sheet
  • Data entry
  • Community Service (Goodwill )
  • POW/ DOW: Pastor/Deacon on Watch
  • Cookie Ministry
  • Recording Ministry

Church office hours are 8am -5pm; split shifts are available if unable to work a full day.

Training time can be arranged.

Admin/Clerical Volunteer: Assistance in preparing music for our nearly 200 weekly servants, including copying and collating weekly and monthly service music and keeping the binders up-to-date. Vocalist/Musician Needs:

Volunteer opportunities are always available for those of you with a passion for the musical arts. The Sanctuary Choir meets weekly on Sunday afternoons at 1:30 in A1, and presents once a month in the 1st service and once a month in all three services. No experience is required and rehearsal CDs are provided for at-home study. This is a multi-generational group, and we especially hope that our younger generation (high school and above) join us to assist in leading the Passion service. Come worship with the Choir!

The FBC Orchestra meets weekly on Sunday afternoons at 2:30 in the Auditorium. We present once a month in all three services and are currently beginning to prepare for the annual outreach concert in June, which will include secular music as well as our sacred repertoire. All levels are welcome to come and play with this multi-generational group.

There are openings now in several of our Worship Teams for those folks with a passion for music and a heart for worship. All those interested may contact the Worship Arts Department for audition times and dates.

Our English bell choir, The Praise Ringers, is currently seeking members to join the bell choir. Reading music is a pre-requisite, although playing the bells is not. This fine group presents once a month in the 1st service as well as varied off-site outreach programs and special events. The Praise Ringers meet on Monday nights at 6pm in Room B2.

Spiritual Gifts

gifts

If you'd like to find out how you're spiritually gifted (or "wired"), you may choose to complete the Spiritual Gift questionnaire. This can help you if you are unsure of where to serve and would like to learn more about how God has designed you to do His Kingdom work at FBC, and beyond. The results are for your eyes only and will not be used by our staff to contact potential volunteers.

This is NOT required to volunteer nor does it limit the areas where you can volunteer. If you're passionate about helping in a specific area, go for it!
