Do Something Projects

Threads of Change - UPDATE

Our church took the first step of "Doing Something" by giving tons, literally TONS of clothing items over a three week span.  As a result, the Threads of Change clothing event was a success. Almost two dozen volunteers spent hours sorting, displaying and working the June 14 event. It wasn't only the women of our church involved.  The Thursday night men's group moved the racks, tables, boxes and bags from the portable's staging area to the Chapel just before the sale.

Approximately 175 families from our church and the community took advantage of the amazing bargains.  More than $2700 was collected and will be split between Courage House and PATH.  All remaining clothing will be delivered to the Elk Grove Food Bank's Clothes Closet and Love, INC.

Atrium & Hospitality

Atrium Ministries

The Atrium Ministries at FBC, which includes Greeters, Guest Services, I’m New and the ever popular Higher Grounds coffee ministry, are often the first to come in contact with our unchurched friends and visitors from the community. A warm, genuine greeting helps to welcome our guests and sets the tone for their visit and leaves an indelible impression upon our visitors encouraging a return visit.

Servant volunteers are always needed and welcome in these areas of ministry. Contact Linda Stone at or 916.685.4821 ext. 114 for more information or to sign up as a volunteer.

Kitchen/Hospitality Ministry

If you have a heart to serve in the culinary arts we would love to offer you an opportunity to be of service in our state of the art kitchen. It’s a busy place all year long as volunteers serve our many special events as well as receptions for memorials and funerals.

Join us as we serve the Lord by serving our FBC family. Contact Linda Stone at or 916.685.4821 ext. 114 for more information or to sign up as a volunteer.
