The word “deacon” comes from the Greek word ”diakonos” which means servant. Serving as a deacon/deaconess is a “noble task.” (1 Timothy 3:1,8)
“Those who have served well as a deacon/deaconess will be rewarded with respect from others and will have increased confidence in their faith in Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 3:13)
Deacons and deaconesses are people who reflect Christ in their lifestyles, especially His servant's heart. They serve the body of believers through visitation, helping with baptisms and communion, and much more. Click on the link below for a copy of our brochure that explains more about this ministry. We are looking for more men and women to join our Deacon Team. Also find below an application form that you can complete online or download and return to the church office.
