Living Missionally

Missional living is defined as “joining God and giving ourselves away.” Here at FBC we are committed to reaching out to our community, our nation and the world as ambassadors of Jesus Christ, sharing not only the gospel message but demonstrating his heart of compasssion through tangible acts of service.

Other Missional Opportunities:

Community Exchange Bulletin Board
Need a job or do you know of employment opportunities? Need a room or home to rent or do you have a room or home for rent? Are you in need of a room or home to rent or have a room or home to rent? We have a community exchange bulletin board, located across from the library.

This is a service provided to our congregation to exchange information and resources regarding housing (rooms and single family dwellings) as well as job needs and opportunities. FBC is providing this information as a resource and does not screen or endorse any individuals. Visit www.fbceg.org/ceb to download a form, or stop by the bulletin board to pick up a form.

Compassion in Action
Compassion in Action is a ministry where you get to touch a family in our church going through a crisis. Compassion in Action organizes a few meals just when people need to know they are not alone. What could be more rewarding than being the hands and feet of Jesus?! Hearts are warmed, tummies are fed and Jesus is seen when people reach out in this way. So if just once a month you could buy a meal, cook a meal, or help call people on the phone, this is a ministry for you!

Let your faith be put to action and your joy will abound.

Helping Hands
This is a ministry to our church family. One Saturday a month we serve widows, the elderly, the physically challenged, single-moms, and ultimately anyone who needs a 'Helping Hand." We help out with handy-man type jobs such as installing ceiling fans/garbage disposals etc; repairing broken fence posts/sprinklers/light fixtures, appliances, etc; cleaning, painting, pruning, clearing rain gutters.  Labor is free but the homeowner pays for parts and supplies. To request service or to join the volunteer team, contact Roger Davis at h2forhim@gmail.com.
