College and Young Adults Ministries

God wants us to seek Him with all our heart, to grow closer to Him and closer to one another in community. We want to help you do this by providing opportunities to gather in small community groups during the week. Community groups meet on a regular basis and are a great way to meet new people while growing in your faith.

COLLEGE GROUP (18-24)

YOUNG ADULTS ( Post-College Age-35)

The Gathering - Join us on Tuesday nights at 7pm for Bible study. We will meet at the Speizer’s home (9519 Quaymas Circle. Elk Grove 95624). This is a wonderful opportunity to meet people your age, make new friends, grapple with God's Word, grow spiritually, EAT and HAVE FUN! Gathering at The Vine | Sundays | 9:30am in Rm. E-105

Come join us for morning refreshments and fellowship with other College Students and Young Adults. This is a great opportunity to meet, hang out, pray and have biblical discussion with your peers. At 11:15am, join our church family in the Auditorium for the Passion worship service and hear Pastor Jason Whalen's powerful sermons.

My name is Robert (Bob) Speizer, Pastor to College and Young Adults. I direct all Young Adult Ministry activities at FBC (including new high school graduates and college-age youth). I have been on staff here since 1991.

I’ve been happily married to Nancy for 29 years. We have two grown up children. Aubree, age 24, is a Special Education teacher for junior high, and Joel, age 26, is preparing to go into full time mission work. We have three cats: Tubby, Sweetface, and Thelma Lou. I could pick 20 favorite movies, but under duress here goes: 12 Angry Men, The Great Escape, and You Can’t Take it With You; best worst movie of all time is: The Terrors of Tiny Town. It’s definitely not politically correct.

I love the people of FBC. If I could give a member a piece of advice, I would say, “Please get involved!” Find your area of service and use your spiritual gifts to bless the Body!
