Changes that Heal – A Small Group for Women
Thursdays @ 10am | February 20-April 10 in Rm. E-208
The goals of this group are to explore emotional and relational issues in a four-step program to healing and growth. Using Dr. Henry Cloud’s Changes that Heal book and workbook to explore how to: 1. Connect more deeply with others to form truly intimate relationships; 2. Develop healthy independence from those you’re connected to; 3. Understand the good and bad in yourself and others; 4. Grow emotionally and spiritually to fully feel like an adult. (Group will be capped at a 6 participant maximum.) Pre-registration is requested. Blended Families: The Smart Step-Family
Tuesdays @ 7pm | February 25-April 15 in Rm. A-1
A 10-week small group to support the step-family or single parent family build a healthy family system. We will use materials from step-family expert, Ron L. Deal. Through engaging videos, discussion and support you will learn useable solutions for everyday living and glean valuable insight and practical tips for raising your step-family the smart, not hard, way. Taught by Michael Beckner and Lynette Beckner. Michael is our Counseling Center Coordinator, a licensed marriage and family therapist and a step-family survivor and thriver with wife Lynette. Childcare available for a nominal fee. Materials Cost: $40
Boundaries with Kids
Tuesdays @ 7pm | February 25-April 15 in Rm. E-210
The Boundaries with Kids small group will give you the tools you need for raising your kids to take responsibility for their actions, attitudes, and emotions. Working with Henry Cloud and John Townsend’s book, the small group will take you through the ins and outs of instilling the kind of character in your children that will help them lead balanced, productive, and fulfilling adult lives. The group process will help you experience how the support of community can lead to new perspectives on effective ways to set limits and still be a loving parent. This 8-week course is led by Greg Hutchings, Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at FBC. Materials Cost: $40
Hold Me Tight
Marriage Enrichment Workshop
Friday, March 7 | 6-9pm AND Saturday, March 8 | 9am-6pm in Rm. E-202
This is a valuable workshop that is offered at other venues for $300-650/couple, but we are offering this class for $75. Whether your marriage is in a really good place or is struggling, this workshop is for you. Based on the book Hold Me Tight by Dr. Sue Johnson, you’ll learn through videos and private breakout sessions how to have a closer connection by having seven conversations that help break the cycles of confused communication, frustration, and even loneliness in your relationship. Make sense of your own and your partner’s emotions, create lasting trust and intimacy, and forgive injuries that destroy trust and safety. The workshop is led by FBC’s Annette Stringer, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and by Paige McAtee, Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. Materials Cost: $75 (book included)

Financial Peace Coaching Services
Are you struggling with trying to implement a budget or even find agreement with your spouse about what should be in your budget? You are not alone. Vincent and Liz Johnson, in addition to being long-time Financial Peace University Facilitators here at FBC, have been trained by Financial Peace University as Financial Coaches to help couples and individuals gain or increase control over their budgets, spending, saving and/or giving. Vincent and Liz meet here at church on Monday evenings to help you set and achieve your personal financial goals. Coaching services are available with a free 60-minute consultation. Financial Peace University
We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! It teaches God’s ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more! The class meets for an hour and a half for 9-weeks. Cost: $99/family and payment plans are available.
